Mathematics provides us vast scope to perceive problems under three situations- concrete, abstract and intuition. The conference theme, Applications of Mathematics and Logics in Computer Science is intended to focus on the learning of Mathematics taking place at different stages of Computer Science. Mathematics or particularly applied mathematics is widely used in every engineering field, especially in Computer Science. In this conference, several applications of mathematics in computer engineering will be discussed through expert lectures. Applications will be the real ones found in the engineering fields, which may not be the same as discussed in many mathematics textbooks. The purpose of this conference is to relate mathematics to subjects of computer science. Many students and research scholars find it difficult to solve engineering problems which need mathematics a lot. The students have studied mathematics before (calculus, linear algebra, numerical analysis and operational research etc.) but when they study logical topics related to computer science which involve mathematics, they often cannot relate mathematics to those subjects and that is the main theme of this conference. We believe that through various ideas, students and research scholars can be motivated to understand their engineering problems better and it is also expected that mathematics lecturers can be encouraged to provide mathematics problems which are more related to engineering fields.
